At the end of the school year, students will be able to be more fluent and engaged; have a higher reading ability and comprehansion of relevant texts by applaying critical thinking vis-a-vis contemporary issues in Serbia.

Religious Education
Religious Instruction begins with the Divine Liturgy (10-11 AM) and continues with Fr. Jovic and his associates who will lecture in a classroom AKA ‘Church Office’. This school year we will be instructing our students in Bible stories, implementing it with animated videos in Serbian and English. There also will be reading passages of Holy Scripture and explanations. Fr. Jocic is pleased to have helpers this school year again, Dragoslav Grbovic and Marko Macura. This Sunday lecturer will be Dragoslav Grbovic. Please bring your children to Church and instruction. Thank you!

Recitals

The school organizes annual recitals for the following occasions: Church Slava St. Archangel Michael, Christmas Eve, St.Sava’s Day,  and the end-of-the-school-year Talent Show.

The organizer of the recitals, Boba Miladinovic, helps children express themselves through storytelling, singing and dancing to make our holiday celebrations more meaningful.

Serbian Folk Dance

One of the way to make Serbian culture and tradition closer to our students is Serbian Kolo dance. All children older than seven  can be enrolled in folk dance classes.

Every Sunday our teacher Beba Petrovic has  devoted her time to teaching students to play Kolo dance.

Free Lunch for Children
School children are served free lunch from 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm every Sunday. The lunch is sponsored by our church, St. Archangel Michael. The delicious home-made food is prepared by our chefs Stana and  Nenad Nikolic.

Summer Camp in Jackson

There is St. Sava Summer Camp organized in Jackson every year. It is a three-week long event for all children from the West Coast coming from Eastern Orthodox families.

More information about the camp can be obtained on the website.
