The Serbian Food Festival Returns to Saratoga: A Weekend of Food, Music, and Community – Sept. 20 – 21

Get ready for a weekend full of flavor, music, culture, and community as we prepare for the Serbian Food Festival, taking place Saturday, Sept. 20, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church, located at 18870 Allendale Ave. in Saratoga.

Following the incredible success of last year’s festival, which drew more than 2,000 visitors, this year promises to be even greater, featuring more traditional food, live music, activities, and family-friendly fun. Whether you’re of Serbian descent or just a lover of great food and cultural experiences, this is the perfect event to bring your family and friends to for an unforgettable weekend.

A Culinary Journey Through Serbia and the Balkans

Come hungry! Prepare your taste buds for a mouthwatering selection of traditional Serbian and Balkan dishes, freshly prepared and served throughout the weekend. From comforting classics to grilled specialties, there’s something for everyone, like:

  • Grilled meat sausages (ćevapi)
  • Roast pig (pečeno prase)
  • Grilled lamb (jagnjetina)
  • Chicken and pork kebabs (pileći i svinjski ražnjići)
  • Stuffed peppers (punjene paprike)
  • Cheese pita (pita sa sirom)
  • Fresh Serbian salads (šopska salata)
  • And so much more

Be sure to save room for dessert. You won’t want to miss the decadent Serbian crepes (palačinke) and other sweet treats.

Wash it all down with specialty Serbian beer, wine, and our ever-popular brandy (rakija) for a true taste of the Balkans.

Live Music, Dance, and Performances

KOLO dancing, traditional Serbian folk dancing

No Serbian celebration is complete without music and dance! Enjoy live Serbian bands and performers bringing classic folk tunes and upbeat Balkan rhythms to life.

Our very own Serbian dance team will light up the stage with high-energy Kolo performances, making this a weekend to remember. Plus, the dance floor will be open for everyone, so don’t hesitate to hop in, join the circle, or bust out a few moves of your own.

Explore Serbian Culture and Heritage

Beyond food and music, the festival is a wonderful opportunity to learn about Serbian history, culture, and traditions. Explore an all-day exhibition of traditional Serbian memorabilia, take part in cultural presentations, and enjoy guided tours of our newly built church, a centerpiece of both the Christian Orthodox and greater Saratoga community.

Fun for the Whole Family

This is a family-friendly event with free admission and plenty of on-site parking. Everyone is welcome, and we truly mean it. Whether you’re stopping by for a delicious meal, staying for the live music and performances, enjoying all-day kids’ activities like face painting and project tables, or simply sitting back and enjoying the sights, you’ll feel the warmth of Serbian hospitality the moment you arrive.

Face painting, balloon twisting, and table games available for children throughout the day.

So don’t miss out on one of the most vibrant cultural events of the year. Mark your calendars for Sept. 20 – 21 and join us for a weekend full of tradition, flavor, music, and community at:
